Highly successful Lorentz workshop

From March 23 to 27, about 20 legal scholars, ethics researchers, designers, and AI specialists joined together in the Lorentz Centre for a week-long workshop on the topic of Responsible AI in the Clinic. On Monday 23 they were joined with various stakeholders: representatives from the NL patients federation, Isala hospital, and normalisation institute NEN, to further set the stage for the academic discussions during the week.

Workshop leaders Eva from Radboud University and Lotte from ConnectedCare, assisted by Aletta, Emma, Dragan, and Johan, guided the participants through the week with an inspiring and well-prepared mix of co-creation sessions and design activities. Johan and Banu were facilitators. Yanday from the Lorentz center provided outstanding facilitative support. Thea from Beeld in Werking provided a wonderful visual summary of the insights in the workshop. Finally, SIDN fonds, Topsector ICT, the BNVKI and the ELSA Lab for Decision Support provided financial support.

We are now writing up the results in a white paper and will organise a knowledge dissemination workshop later in the fall to conclude the workshop.
